Marketing Manager

A brand new role for us. Have you got what it takes?

 

We are looking for an experienced Marketing Manager, to cover all aspects of our marketing - from website, e-commerce and digital to in- store, print and media, experiences, events and wider PR and collaborative opportunities.

This is a new, hands-on role for us, heading up and leading a small team, and reporting directly to the Managing Director. You will need to lead from the front, and be prepared for some very hard, but enjoyable, work.

To be successful you will need to demonstrate proven experience and ability in developing an independent brand's potential in an intelligent and considered way, with long-term vision and a knack for lateral thinking. You must have had experience and oversight of building up e-commerce revenues and a digital presence as well as experience in physical, face-to-face retailing. You will need to know your online analytics and have a great grasp of 'UX' as well as the 'real' service our customers expect to see when they visit us in-store.

We are a creative, family business, not a corporate one, a high-quality, ethical, independent company with a heart and lots of soul. If you have worked in a similar set-up previously, then you may be half way there already!

You will need to be an adept writer, a clear communicator with an eye for a good, often quirky angle, and someone who can tell a great story in words and pictures. You will need to be comfortable managing a photographer and a graphic designer too, handling our suppliers and developing those relationships to get the best results for both parties, and nurturing PR and media contacts where needed.

Again, due to the ongoing pandemic and surrounding uncertainty, as a sensible precaution some positions may be offered on a temporary, probationary contract of either 3 months or 6 months, with permanent positions available thereafter subject to certain conditions.
