Stuttgarter Giant onion sets are a high-yielding variety that can be planted either in March or April. A classic favourite, they are known for being firm and semi-flat and having a sweeter taste compared to other sharper-tasting onions. They store very well, and may be done so on a string.
Content: Average 50 sets, brown paper packaging
Plant: Spring, in a sunny position in a well-prepared bed, dressed with a general fertilizer to improve yield. Plant 12cm apart, to a depth of 3cm. Check sets daily to see that birds have not disturbed the sets. Weed and water thoroughly.
