Inspired by the magnificence of the Italian Renaissance, this Angel Vase echoes that same decadence. Handmade in the rolling hills of Tarne, East Toulouse, it has been meticulously crafted by skilled artisans. With a majestic presence, this incredible vase will look fantastic submerged within a border of brightly coloured flowers or positioned along a garden pathway. Every little detail from the weathered finish to the delicately etched grooves, has been researched and replicated to create an accurate rendition of traditional Italian stoneware.
Throughout ancient Rome, vases such as these were used to store wine and so it is very fitting that positioned on each side is the smirking muse of Bacchus, the god of wine and festivity. Exquisitely etched into the stone, the figureheads bring the piece to life with their emotive expressions. Displayed on the body of the vase is an enchanting scene of three charming cherubs riding upon mythical creatures.
