Exquisitely made in the rolling hills of Tarn, East Toulouse this French Jar has been inspired by pieces from the 16th century and will make a wonderful architectural statement on your terrace whether planted or left empty. The family business who makes them intended to replicate the antique Biot Jars, that were traditionally used to preserve olives.
Entirely handmade the jars are fashioned through a rope turning technique - tournage à la corde – an ancestral process that helps create their beautiful silhouette. The body of the jar has an aged, patinated surface, while the rim and neck is finished in a rich, ivory-coloured, enamel glaze.
