Combining functionality with elegance, the Antares border fork is ideal for gardening in a smaller space. The head, with its four pointed tines, is made of of high-grade work-hardened bronze (a copper alloy), designed to stand up to the stresses that any border fork is subjected to. The strong artisan ash shaft is steam-bent into a slight curve, allowing for good leverage, with a T-handle – preferred by traditionalists – in beech.
Like our other copper tools, the Antares border fork is light and nicely weighted, and so relatively effortless to use with minimal friction. Copper will not break even under considerable stress and can easily be bent back into shape, reworked and sharpened. This copper garden tool will last for years, developing an attractive bronze patina over time, without rusting.
This beautiful border fork is suitable for daily work in cultivated garden soils. It is the preferred tool for breaking up the soil without moving huge clods of earth, lifting potatoes or carrying light fibrous materials and manure. As you work, you will enrich the soil with copper trace elements and thereby provide your plants with essential nutrients.
