Tools for bonsai care are precision instruments designed to do a very particular job in the maintainance of a bonsai tree. Branches are shaped using wire, and the rounded head of these wire cutters is perfect for removing this wire without damaging the bark beneath.
In a traditional Japanese design, the Kaneshin Bonsai Wire Cutters are made by hand in Japan by highly skilled artisans from high grade Japanese carbon steel with an overall black oxide finish. The stopper is now purely decorative. (Carbon steel is prone to rust but is the best choice for bonsai tools as it can be made sharper than maintenance-free stainless steel; clean after use with our camellia oil.)
