Highly sought after, Skimmia O’Berry is a rare, white variety of this classic, autumnal/winter shrub that is covered in pristine berries in autumn. Obligingly tolerant of shade, S. O’Berry provides great impact with its copious round fruit, gleaming against glossy, evergreen foliage. Its compact, slow growing form makes it idea for a small garden or statement planting in a container.

Skimmias require acid soil to thrive, so if you live locally you will need to plant this rare variety in a container filled with ericaceous compost. Also, this berry-covered example is the female and to have a mass of white berries next year we suggest you position it next to a male Skimmia, (ie flower-bearing) of any variety (for example Skimmia Rubella); the berries will return in their true white form.
