This reliable, early cropping whitecurrant produces an abundance of pale yellow fruits in long, heavy trusses. Appearing early in the season (in fact, it is the first to crop), they are ready to pick in early July.
White Versailles has a vigorous, upright bushy growth habit with attractive arching canes and serrated three lobed green leaves. The bell-shaped flowers are pale green and attract pollinators.
The fruit has a sweet flavour and can be used in a variety of culinary delights such as jams, jellies, wines and as a garnish for decorated cakes.
Try planting several as a low hedge or individually as part of an edible hedge.
