Agapanthus – African Lilies - are always visually dramatic and remind us of sunnier climates and bright blue skies. Even amongst the bright blooms of high summer,
Agapanthus Twister produces a wonderful display. Raised above its elegantly strap-shaped, mid-green leaves, the round flower heads comprise a mass of bi-colour trumpets with attractively flared petals, which graduate from deep blue in the centre to bright white at the end.
A. Twister makes a dramatic display in containers and correctly positioned in full sun creates a focal point on a terrace or in a courtyard. Each separate flower head will bloom for a long time, during a flowering season that lasts from July to September. The heads can be cut for an elegant summer arrangement or dried in the autumn for their beautiful structure.
