Formerly known as montbretia, this crocosmia is a cheerful bicolour variety producing masses of vivid yellow and orange freesia-like blooms with a red reverse. The flowers are held in a line on tall, arching dark purple stems in late summer and into autumn.
Ideal as part of a 'hot' garden planting scheme, or C. Harlequin will form the star of the cut flower garden. An excellent choice for sunny, well-drained sites and ideally situated at the back of a border or where it can overhang a sweeping lawn or path.
This lovely late flowering corm will quickly divide and form a large clump of sword-like leaves. Crocosmias are herbaceous bulbous perennials that disappear in the winter and regrow from bare ground each spring.
