Five rows of frilly-edged petals give this charming Geum Can Can its name. The flowers provide an overall glow of warm yellow, suffused with deep apricot, while the centres are velvety brown. Look at the back of the flower and the petals are gently washed with deep apricot colour as they merge into the slim, red stem. The plant forms dense clumps of green foliage from which the flowers rise well above the leaves on slender, wiry stems.
Geums are hardy and low-maintenance and G. Can Can is perfect for borders or containers. Plant in full sun or partial shade in moist, well-drained soil. Deadhead regularly to prolong a remarkably long flowering season throughout the summer.
