This is a lovely perennial with bright pink pincushion tufts of flowers in impossibly slender stems. Gorgeous in floral arrangements, both fresh and dried, the butterflies love these flowers too!
This is a dwarf variety of scabious, blooming continually with occasional deadheading from summer through till late autumn. The lance-like grey-green leaves form a low, compact mound.
Happy in dry situations, such as rock gardens or even in walls, this is great in containers or at the front of a border. Works well in cottage garden schemes, or mixed with grasses to a prairie-style garden.
