Related to the the wild Buttercup, Trollius europaeus, also known as Globeflower, produces glorious globe-shaped (as you might expect) flowers in late spring and early summer. These bright yellow blooms, tinged with green, are held on erect stems above clumps of divided, dark green foliage.
T. europaeus is perfect for the middle of a moist, sunny border, at the margins of a pond or stream or in a bog garden.
