Even if you couldn’t eat this Trombonico (Trombone) Squash, you would want to grow it as an annual climber for the sheer pleasure of its gloriously shaped leaves and mind-bogglingly interestingly shaped fruits. This variety of summer squash, however, offers a culinary feast at three stages: growth tips (tender and subtle), early squash (delicious, when the size of a courgette) or full-blown large squash, which can be picked and stored to be roasted when required.
