Miscanthus sinensis Flamingo is a graceful ornamental grass that forms a mound of elegant foliage that emanates light from the white ribs and leaf edges. The fine leaves turn golden in the autumn and fade over the winter. After a warm summer it has glorious pink flowers, raised high above the foliage, fading to silver over time.
Miscanthus is a tolerant, deciduous hardy perennial with an erect habit. M. Flamingo is a useful ornamental grass as it stands well through the winter. The flower heads are lovely in dried flower arrangements.
