The young leaves of Bronze Fennel (Foeniculum vulgare Giant Bronze) form a cloud of bronze-purple feathers. The aniseed-scented foliage is a useful herb with meat and fish recipes, and great in salads. The flowers are delicate yellow umbrels in July and August, followed by aromatic seeds.
Grown also for its ornamental quaities in the border, this fast-growing, tall perennial loves a moist, well-drained soil in full sun. Remove the seedheads to avoid prolificc self-seeding.

Eco-friendly: This plant is grown in peat free compost in a biodegradable pot made from waste coir with natural latex.
