This perennial herb forms an attractive small bush with aromatic silver leaves and in summer has loads of tiny, bright yellow flowers in flat heads. Although scented strongly of curry, especially after rain, its leaves produce only a mild flavour when chopped finely and added to rice or salad for a mild zesty taste. An easy to grow cat and insect repellent!
The Curry Plant is Helichrysum italicum (syn. angustifolium). It likes well-drained soil in full sun, and is suitable for planting in pots and containers.
Eco-friendly: This herb plant is grown in peat free compost in a biodegradable pot made from waste coir with natural latex.
