Mahonia Soft Caress was the winner of the prestigious RHS Chelsea Flower Show Plant of the Year in 2013. This  evergreen shrub features spike-free leaves, so can be grown in areas where it is likely to brush against passers-by. Equally happy grown along a path edge or around a patio, or in a border in sun or partial shade, this vibrant plant is also well suited to a larger container on the patio, as it features tactile silver green leaves and produces sweetly scented bright yellow flowers from late summer to late autumn, followed by small blue berries.

A compact, evergreen shrub, it is a great choice for year round interest.
