Introduced at the Chelsea Flower Show in 2017, the beautiful new English shrub rose from David Austin, Rosa
Dame Judi Dench® (Ausquaker
), has rich apricot blooms. Opening from red buds, the ruffled petals pale on the edges, and form a loose rosette with a button eye. They have a lovely fresh tea fragrance with a fresh note of cucumber and a hint of kiwi.
As well as being a repeat flowerer from its side shoots, the long-lasting blooms of this English Musk Hybrid are not affected by bad weather, being very resistant to rain damage; the petals also drop neatly.
A vigorous grower that is particularly reliable and healthy. R. Dame Judi Dench produces strong, arching stems which, over time, form an attractive mound of blooms.
Named after one of Britain’s most well-known stars of stage and screen.
