Rosa The Ancient Mariner (Ausoutcry) is a large shrub rose producing a dramatic, floriferous display of generously petalled, glowing pink cupped blooms with lighter edges and a strong, warm myrrh scent. The flowers form from pink buds. This strong and vigorous repeat flowering English rose from David Austin is larger than the average shrub rose and has very good resistance to disease.

The Ancient Mariner rose, named after Samuel Taylor Coleridge's epic poem, 'The Rime of the Ancient Mariner', is a useful variety for the middle or back of the border, and works equally well planted on its own.

Only introduced in 2015, and hard to get hold of, The Ancient Mariner rose will be an impressive addition to your garden.
