Bred by David Austin Roses, the repeat-flowering English climbing rose Rosa Wollerton Old Hall® (Ausblanket) is particularly free-flowering and wonderfully fragrant. Its strong, warm myrrh fragrance has intense hints of citrus. The plump buds, with attractive flashes of red, open to beautifully rounded, chalice-shaped blooms of pale apricot, which eventually pale to cream.
The Wollerton Old Hall rose is one of our favourites, here, for its lovely pale colour and suitability to any aspect.
Named after Wollerton Old Hall in Shropshire, located not far from the David Austin nursery. One of the most beautiful private gardens in the country, it is set around a 16th century hall and features roses in creative plant combinations.
