A French rose with glorious repeating blooms and a beautiful name, Rosa Zéphirine Drouhin is a climbing Bourbon rose of the rambler type with semidouble flowers in cherry red and cerise, marked with faint white stripes. They have a very strong, sweet scent. It has virtually thornless stems, semiglossy midgreen leaves, and flowers freely over a long period.
Train it up a secure trellis on a sunny wall, although it tolerates a degree of shade, or as a towering hedge; it can be grown as a shrub if given some support.
