With exquisite blossom, this delicate Japanese flowering cherry is a small, rounded ornamental tree perfect for smaller gardens. The bare dense branches are smothered in larger than average, single pure white flowers that open from pale pink buds in April. The flowers have a deep red, central flush. Mid-green foliage turns to dramatic oranges and reds in the autumn.
This form has been top worked, which means it has been grafted on to another form so it acts like a small, standard tree.
Underplant Prunus The Bride with spring flowering bulbs in a lawn, or plant in a container.
A recipient of the RHS AGM (Award of Garden Merit), for all round excellence in the garden.
