There is a good reason why campanulas or Bellflowers have been planted in cottage gardens for hundreds of years: they are fresh and beautiful. The more contemporary Campanula persicifolia Takion White is no exception to this rule. Planted amidst other herbaceous flowers, C. Takion White produces a show of crisply formed, bell-shaped flowers in pure white. The dark green leaves of this strain grow in a compact form from a round base, all of which dies down in the winter. From this base grow strong stems that are punctuated with the flower buds and being more compact they are less prone to damage in windy borders.
