This striking, evergreen shrub has wonderfully velvety young leaves, which become spear-shaped and beautifully veined, borne on strong stems in maturity. These upright stems are punctuated with distinctive whirls of vibrant, deep yellow, hooded flowers. Architectural in its impact, Phlomis Longiflora Bailanica enlivens a sunny, well drained border and is hugely attractive to native pollinators. At the end of the season the dried flower heads add an unusual, structural dimension to autumn flower arrangements.
