Picotee is a beautiful orientalis hybrid variety of hellebore, producing saucer-shaped, slightly frilly blooms from late winter, The pendant double cream flowers have a pink tinge, darker on the edges, and purple veining, and are held on strong stems above dark-green, divided, leathery, semi-evergreen foliage.
Perfect for adding colour to a woodland area, especially as they are resistant to deer and rabbits, or for adding early interest to the front of a mixed border, hellebores are in flower at a time of the year when little else is. They also provide a valuable source of nectar to foraging insects, especially bees, when little else is in flower. With a compact, upright, clump-forming habit, the Picotee Harvington hellebore provides good ground cover too.
