Zingy and zesty, our homemade Lemon Curd has always been extremely popular in the Food Hall. The glorious simplicity of the ingredients – lemons, sugar, eggs and butter – is evident in the superbly crisp flavour. Perfect on fresh bread or in cakes, biscuits and macaroons.
Lemon curd has its roots in early 19th century Britain (imagine Jane Austen at her tea table) when it was widely made as a delicious alternative to jam.
Keep it in the cupboard as a family indulgence or share the luxury and give it as a present.
Container: Resealable glass jar with glass lid, rubber seal and metal fixings
Ingredients: Lemons (28%), sugar, eggs and butter
Refrigerate after opening and use within two weeks.
