What's in a name? Well, the creative people at Pooky have given us a little history lesson in the naming of the Tipu Tiger lampshade. Tipu's Tiger is an automaton which was made in the 18th century for the Sultan of Mysore. Now to be found at London's famous V&A Museum, the mechanical toy depicts a man's gruesome encounter with a tiger. Thankfully, subject matter aside, the tiger's colourful stripes have inspired the lampshade's pattern.
