These beautiful Straight Empire Lampshades in Selene Print are truly special. The print is based on 15th century glazed tiles that were found in a hamman, near the Blue Mosque in Tabriz, demonstrating a mix of Islamic arabesque and geometric patterns created by Nematollah Ibn Mohammad Elbavvab. Adorning the walls of the Mosque, Elbavvab design's cleverly used bright colours against darker backgrounds, which blended beautifully against the neutral brick architecture of the Mosque. These Selene lampshades effortlessly present this culture and include the very same floral detail, and look stunning on neutral or similarly coloured lamps.
As if this wasn't enough, thirty percent of proceeds from these shades will go to the Hands Up Foundation, which helps to transform the lives of those innocent individuals caught in the terrible conflicts of Syria.
