Kumquat is a wonderfully ornamental citrus plant that will add an exciting Mediterranean touch to your home during winter and upon the terrace once summer arrives. Native to China, it was brought to Europe in the 1800s and has been popular ever since for the vibrant colour and attractive structure.
Growing upon gracefully arching branches, its leaves are a deep glossy green and in spring it will be covered in sweet smelling blossom, which gives way to little, bright orange fruits. A particularly great choice for in the conservatory, where it will supply some stunning colour and wonderfully scent the room.
