Made from reclaimed teak, each of these outdoor bistro tables is unique, revealing its own charismatic figuring in the grain of the wood, and beautiful enough to use indoors as well. The subtle tone of the untreated teak will become even more lovely as it continues to mellow over time into a more silvery shade.
Although manufactured along traditional lines, the style of the table reflects a pure, modern aesthetic. Generously proportioned, this table will seat two people comfortably. The elegant form of the legs – a contemporary take on a cross-structure – is arranged at an angle to give more room for diners’ legs. The smooth table top, with its rounded edges, comprises four separate planks of teak forming a square. The gap between each plank is for practicality as well as appearance; when used outside, any rainwater will run through rather than puddling on the surface.
Teak, a hardwood, is famously substantial and durable, which, combined with the understated design of the table, suggests decades of intimate meals and relaxed suppers outside.
Material: Reclaimed teak
Dimensions: H:75cm, W:85cm, D:85cm; table top:5cm
Care: This table will lighten with age, taking on a more silvery quality, an effect that would be accelerated if used outside in summer. Reclaimed wood is a natural material that is sensitive to high temperatures and air humidity, resolving in cracks if unsuitable conditions are met. The furniture should always be lifted when moved rather than dragged, and cleaned with a damp cloth to remove dust and marks. For any further finishes, teak waxes and finish products are available.
Note: Supplied fully assembled, but can be dismantled if required.
