Like other sedges, Carex oshimensis Evergold has triangular stems bearing linear or strap-shaped leaves and short or long spikes of tiny green or brown flowers.
Evergold is a small, evergreen perennial that forms a compact tuft of striking foliage, with arching, narrow leaves of dark green with a central yellow stripe. The inconspicuous, brown flower spikes appear in late summer to early summer.
Offers a contrast in colour when planted with other ornamental grasses.
