Summer Sunrise on the Wheat Fields, Witney
With a warm palette, Alex Long's 'Summer Sunrise on the Wheat Fields, Witney' beautifully conveys a familiar local scene of farmland glistening in the midsummer sun before the harvest. The complementary, organic colourways of this piece would work beautifully in a setting demanding texture, colour and serenity.

Working primarily “en plein air”, Long is predominantly interested in capturing the mood or essence of a place in a specific moment in time. Inspired by nature and the changing of the seasons, Long develops a deeper understanding of the landscape from which he is working, resulting in a multitude of quick and lively compositions which exude life and organic beauty.
After spending a year training at a classical arts academy in Florence, Long returned to his hometown in Oxfordshire to continue his exploration as a full-time painter, having exhibited in numerous group show including the Royal Institute of Oil Painters.
