notes

Costoluto Fiorentino is a large, flat, beefsteak type of tomato from Florence. An heirloom variety, it produces large, juicy tomatoes on the vine which are wonderful to eat fresh but really intensify when cooked slowly to form a rich sauce or added to a stew. It is an early, prolific producer and a worthy recipient of the RHS AGM (Award of Garden Merit), for all round excellence.
