An evening with Sean Pritchard

Gathering at 5.30pm for a glass of seasonal fizz and canapés on our Café Terrace, we will then move inside for a 6pm start ready for Sean to share his thoughts on how gardens have the ability to reach inside the home and inspire year-round decorative drama - no matter the size of your plot or your level of horticultural experience. Specifically, Sean will offer suggestions and advice on how to select plants and flowers, growing best practices and how displays can be planned in ways that maximise their potential in both outdoor and indoor settings. There will be time at the end for questions, followed by Sean signing copies of his beautiful book from 7-8pm.

Meet Sean A. Pritchard

An award-winning garden designer based in London and Somerset, Sean A. Pritchard’s work focusses on creating outdoor spaces that inspire and elevate the lives of those who use them. At the heart of every design is a fascination with plants and the role they play in transforming a space, alongside elements of movement, discovery and a sense of the unexpected. His studio has designed two show gardens including the Macmillan Cancer Support show garden at RHS Hampton Court in 2022. Dividing his time between London and Somerset – where he lives in a 300-year-old farm labourer’s cottage on the Mendip Hills, Sean applies much of his garden design philosophy to the decoration of the cottage, which he shares on his popular Instagram account.

Outside In

Full of flamboyant colour and dreamy country interiors, ‘Outside In: A Year of Growing and Displaying’ blurs the boundaries of Sean’s home and garden, detailing the joys to be found throughout the year both inside and outdoors. Using stunning photography, the book is both an inspirational journal of how flowers can transform a space, and a useful growing guide to ensure that every month of the year there’s something to bring indoors and display in an engaging way.
