notes
A good choice for exposed areas, the hardy annual broad bean (Vicia faba) The Sutton is a dwarf variety, suitable for autumn and spring sowings. It bears high yields of pods up to 15cm long containing 6-8 white beans per pod. These beans have a good flavour and freeze well.
Insights

Old seeds can be ploughed in as green manure- wonderful for adding nitrogen to the soil. The Sutton is a recipient of the RHS AGM (Award of Garden Merit), for all round excellence.
