notes
The glamorous Mrs Charlmondeley charms all with her beautiful, lavender blue flowers that can grow up to 20cm wide. The deciduous climber is vigorous and free flowering throughout early summer.
Insights

The lavender flowers will fade in full sun so Mrs Charlmondeley (pronounced ‘Chumley’!) is better situated in light shade. Such is her pedigree, she is a recipient of the RHS AGM (Award of Garden Merit), for all round excellence.

Care

As Clematis like cool roots, try to position so that the roots will be shaded from the sun by another plant. Bear in mind the space they will need to climb and provide a suitable structure - trellis, wall, fence or other plant - to scramble through. Minor pruning to tidy in early spring and after flowering
