Features

notes
Immensely popular and easy to care for, Monstera Deliciosa is a tropical evergreen plant native to South America. Famous for their iconic, perforated leaves that resemble Swiss cheese, hence the nickname, their structural form makes them a great statement plant to position in a sitting room.
Insights

The Monstera's leaf-holes are called fenestrations, which help to maximise sun fleck capture on the forest floor by increasing the spread of the leaf, while decreasing the mass of leaf cells to support. As the plant matures, these holes eventually grow toward the edge of the leaf, causing it to open into a decorative fan shape.

Plant Care

Famously low maintenance, the Monstera grows well in temperatures between 18°C-30°C. Water every 1-2 weeks, allowing soil to dry out between watering. Normal room humidity will do, but prefers humid conditions if possible, so we recommend misting from time to time.
