notes
A favourite amongst the staff at Universal Works, and with good reason, the Lord Battleman waistcoat is crafted using an Italian-made fabric, woven in Prato, one of the homes of the European textile industry. With a light-hand feel, and plain-weave, chambray-like finish, this ‘Lord Cotton-Linen’ is a truly great summer-weight cloth. This short-fitting waistcoat is finished with a stand collar, and multi-functional patch pockets.
Insights

Established in 2009, Universal Works has grown from humble beginnings, with initial operations being conducted from director David Keyte’s kitchen table. Inspired by David’s formative years, seeing his dad and his uncles both in their workwear and dressed up for the weekend; the aim has always been to produce honest, well-designed clothes with an understanding of heritage, contemporary needs, and aesthetics.
