The surface of this apparently simple planter is extremely compelling, the unique patina created by the firing technique gives an antique quality, as if weathered by the sea and encrusted with sand and barnacles.
Insights
Handmade by a small, family company, each planter has its own distinctive character and colour. Once built, the planter is wood fired for up to two weeks, hence the unusual rough texture and varied colouring of its surface. A double firing process also ensures the pot’s durability and frost resistance.
