Features

notes
The perfect specimen for year-round flower and foliage interest, the crab apple Malus Scarlett is a small tree with a spreading habit. In spring, dark pink flowers smother the branches, and glossy foliage emerges purple, before turning green over the summer and then scarlet with purple tints in autumn. Small dark pink fruit remains on the tree even after the leaves have fallen.
Insights

This is one of the last crab apples to lose its leaves – keeping foliage well into November. Malus Scarlett is a recipient of RHS AGM (Award of Garden Merit), for all round excellence.
