notes
An old variety, which dates to 1699 when a Sicilian monk Father Cupani sent seeds to his friend in England. This sweet pea is bicoloured, pink and violet, and although flowers are small, they bear an amazing scent. It is closely related to a wild variety found growing in Southern Italy.
Insights

A favourite of the cottage garden due to its long flowering period and sweet, heady scent, sweet peas are typically grown up a trellis or obelisk to provide a colourful accent in the summer garden.
