Caraway (Carum carvi) is a hardy biennial herb known for producing tasty and versatile seeds. It has finely divided, feathery leaves, which in its second year of growth produce decorative clusters of pink-white flowers.
Insights
Its seeds have immense culinary value, often being used to flavour soups or roast meats. The young leaves also make a nice addition to salads. As all parts of the plant are edible, once you have harvested the seeds you can dig up and use the tap root in the same way as you would any other root vegetable.

Care
Grown in peat free compost in a biodegradable pot made from waste coir and natural latex. Pop the discarded coir pot in the green bin, leave out for birds to use for nesting, use as mulch or add to compost heap.
