These attractively rustic Terracotta Sack Pots have been inspired by the appearance of a jute sack tied with a rope. In the moulding of the wavy upper edge and the detail of the tie, it is possible to see the artisan potter’s hand at work; even the thumbprint where the clay tie is applied to the base.

Insights
Made by skilled artisans, even the name terracotta evokes a gloriously sun-drenched landscape – the word comes from the Latin, terra cocta, meaning baked earth. These pots are made from natural Galestro clay, local to the area in Tuscany where they originate, so they contain only naturally occurring chemicals and are ecologically sound.
