notes

Crocosmia x crocosmiiflora Red King is a dramatic variety of montbretia producing masses of magnificent, deep orange, freesia-like blooms, held in a line on tall, arching stems in late summer and autumn. Ideal as part of a 'hot' garden planting scheme, for brightening up a summer border or as a cut flower.

Insights

An excellent choice for sunny, well-drained sites and ideally situated where it can overhang a lawn or path. The blooms, which are attractive to butterflies, last for up to 8 weeks, making it a good choice for the cutting garden.
