Native to tropical regions of India and Malaysia, its care requirements are similar to that of the Rubber Tree, however its strikingly unique tri-coloured variegation requires brighter light conditions in order to keep the colours strong and defined.

• Soil: Use a well draining, aerated potting soil mix. A mixture of one part peat, one part pine bark, and one part sand is recommended.
• Position: Bright, indirect light
• All Ficus are toxic to humans and pets if ingested.

Place your Belize in a location where it can receive bright, indirect light, however please note, too much direct sun will scorch the leaves. Like all tropical plants with large foliage, the Ruby will attract dust, so do take care with wiping the leaves. This particular plant is known to thrive off high humidity; to achieve this within an indoor setting, we recommend grouping your houseplants together or placing the Ruby on a tray of pebbles filled with water.
