This special edition Rose Poivrée candle was created in partnership with haute couture designer Giambattista Valli to celebrate the 2010 opening of his first store on rue Boissy d’Anglas in Paris. The fragrance is distinctly feminine with lush rose and lily of the valley evoking Marie Antoinette’s love of flowers. A hint of Tuscan black pepper at the heart of the rose delivers subtle, unexpected harmony.

Insights

French icon Cire Trudon was given a royal warrant in 1719, indeed, the one and only candle manufacturer to ever obtain this title. Every candle is handmade: from the positioning of the cotton wick, to the application of the company's emblem, and it has been the same since 1643. With correct care, no smoke leaves a Trudon candle and no wax is left on the sides of the glass.

  • The first use of your candle should occur within the two first months after its reception. To preserve the fragrance, do not burn your candle for more than 2 hours at a time during the first third of the candle and 1 hour at a time during the remaining. Should any black smoke appear, trim the tip of the wick.
  • Do not leave candles burning unattended. Keep away from children, curtains and pets.
