Reminiscent of Amphora jars from the Greek renaissance, these elegant planters have been handmade in the rolling hills of Tarn, East Toulouse. As picturesque as the region they are crafted in, these Amphora Putti jars are simply a delight to gaze upon. Meticulously fashioned using traditional techniques, such as rope-turning, the detail upon their exterior is impeccable. Everything down to the weathered finish has been researched, achieving an accurate replication of the elegant design from traditional Greek terracota pots.
Embellished upon the exterior is an artistic scene, displaying a delicate olive leaf that wraps around the heads of two angels, or Putti. Planted or left empty, such detailing makes this jar a beautifully ornamental piece. Finished with a classic patina, a skilful blend of colours and exquisite texturing they have an aesthetic similar to lichen. Perfect to compliment your herbaceous plants or simply sit as an antique decoration, this Putti jar is well-crafted and of immaculate design.
