Beaming with vivacity, a prismatic tablecloth is bears a scattering of eight delectable lemons, capturing our attention with a dance of confetti-ed marks and colours. Utilising a contrasting and varied palette, Brown boldly portrays a traditional still life through layered impasto applications of paint. Ideal for a space looking for a hearty dose of vibrancy.

Brown’s work explores relationships between light and colour, navigating the balance between realism and abstracts. In Brown’s words, “I have developed an organic approach to composition and narrative which has fed into my paintings.”

After graduating from Camberwell School of Art, Brown turned to painting professionally and exhibited with the Nine Elms Group of Artists in London throughout the 90’s. Currently, he has work housed in noteworthy collections across the UK and abroad, including GlaxoSmithKline, John Moores University, and London Transport Museum, among others.
