Features

notes

A rich, yellow variety, Rosa Charles Darwin® (Auspeet), bred by David Austin, is a robust rose that boasts a broad habit, making it perfect for the back of a border, as hedging, but also good planted in a large container. Long lasting, its large blooms, flattening slightly as they mature, have great impact in a garden.

Please note, our roses are available to purchase all year round, so depending on the time of year your rose may either arrive in bloom or have been pruned or deadheaded appropriately for the season.

Insights

Named in honour of the Victorian naturalist Charles Darwin who was born in Shrewsbury, (not far from the David Austin Nursery) whose ground-breaking book 'On the Origin of Species' (published in 1859), proposed the idea of evolution.
